I'm not pointing these things out to be a dick. Many people do notice the difference between 160 and 128. If you had just used another 150-200 video bitrate you would have been fine, if you encoded with 2-pass and had a bunch of other settings set right.īut even x264 needs at least 800-900 video bitrate to look good on even a 15 or 17' monitor, and, your audio bitrate should always be 160. Not by much, mind you, but just enough to screw it up a little. You ALMOST did a great job, but you did sacrifice too much quality by making it this small. Not only is that NOT 'done in 720p', but it even says so right in the torrent name.
